Their outside seating area is especially nice, if the weather is permitting. The food is good/tasty but in my opinion a bit overpriced which is why this only rates at 3 stars vs 4. Seems as if the pricing is more because its in a more "poshy" area, but nothing ridiculous like the "santana row poshy" absurdity that you get if you order food at some of those main strip establishments that are "trendy".  There are other seafood places near by that might not have the dining atmosphere that Pacific Catch does, but they don't charge you for it, and typically get larger portions of fish for you money. ...

Today's entry is from a good friend and guest blogger Chan Tran : Mr. Krabs Seafood Restaurant has crawfish, shrimp and you traditional cajun style food similar to Boiling Crab. The only cool thing about this place is it has Vietnamese crab noodle soup. The noodles are similar to udons and the broth is similar to ramen. (click to embiggen) No I didn't put that much mayo on my burger, used knife to only have about 1/4 of it left on my burger. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I hadn't been in about 10 years.  Of course the building hasn't changed much, and a few of the exhibits have been changed around but its pretty much the same ole same ole from 10 years ago, which is still pretty amazing!  I was able to hang out all day from lunch until closing, so about 6 hours.  I originally wanted to attend on a weekend for the late hours but even on a weekday it was pretty busy, it being the last week in August right before school started.  I gather the crowds might be the last jaunt for families and their kids before going back to school. Rather than get a late start taking photos by eating outside the Aquarium we decided to eat at the café within the Aquarium.  Other than having to stand about 15min in line the foo...

Chinese Stir Fry w/Shrimp and Fried Rice @ Home I decided tonight was the night to try out my Chinese Stir Fry skills and I'm pleasantly surprised with the result and recipe! All this goodness obtained without even owning a wok! Note; I really do want a iron hand hammered work with a turkey fryer burner for maximum BTU output, but until I'm out of an apartment I'm stuck working with electric!  So technically, I don't have what they call "flavor of the wok", but its pretty damn close IMHO.  The best thing is that this recipe, which you can find after the jump, is a one pot recipe!
