The Vegan Black Metal Chef is back and this time he's making stir-fry!  His tribute is entitled "Hail Seitan" which is a fun little play on words.  Seitan, contrary to popular belief is not the fallen angel Lucifer from Christianity. Seitan is wheat gluten aka wheat meat, mock duck, gluten meat, or simply gluten, and is a food made from the gluten of wheat. It is made by washing wheat flour dough with water until all the starch dissolves, leaving insoluble gluten as an elastic mass which is then cooked before being eaten.  It is often  used in place of soy based products such as tofu when slightly different textures are required.  So sit back and enjoy this episode of The Vegan Black Metal Chef! The Vegan Black Metal Chef is back and this time he's cooking up some sushi!  Yes, I know when you think sushi you think "raw" but he's actually deep frying some panko asparagus, but he tackles a few other variations too! Note: Some of the variations are comical and not to be meant for actual consumption, no matter how much you want to tell the future! The video isn't big on exact measurements, which you only need for baking ( Are you listening Hanna!?), and of course his technique is a bit "unorthodox" but it gets the job done, more or less.
